CAOHC Approved Audiometric Technician Training Courses

We have been providing Occupational Hearing Conservationists training courses for over thirty years.
Dr. Robert C. Beiter is certified by the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation as a course director.

Three Day CERTIFICATION COURSE

This course (20 contact hours) covers all CAOHC required topics from anatomy of the ear to hearing protection. Some examples of the course content are:

• Hands on experience with hearing testing, ear examinations, hearing protection and noise measurement.
• Federal and state regulations.
• Workers compensation.
• Anatomy, physiology and diseases of the ear.
• Science of sound.
• Audiometer calibration.

One Day REFRESHER COURSE

The re-certification course (8 contact hours) is designed to refresh basic knowledge and skills in the areas of hearing testing, OSHA regulations and other hearing conservation program requirements. The course is intended for Certified Audiometric Technicians who are nearing the end of their 5-year certification period.
